After twelve fruitful and critically successful years at The Gary The Olivia Theater on the grounds of the Benedictine Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, CT artistic directors Sally and Tom Camm have made what for them is a bittersweet decision to move the theater operation to the west coast. Having directed the summer stock theater company for the past twelve seasons and with other business interests bringing them frequently to California over the past year requiring more attention, the Camms have decided that now was the right time to make the move.
“This has been an inspiring run for us here at the theater. For our Summer Stock productions from June through September we received critical acclaim, wonderful support from the Abbey, our Board of Directors, from the theater volunteers, technical professionals and our vibrant and diverse audiences. With our close proximity to New York, the talents of many theater professionals from across the US have graced our productions. We feel fortunate and deeply thankful for all of the support we’ve received over these past twelve years.”
“We would like to thank the Abbey of Regina Laudis for their ongoing support of our ever-new exploration of the human condition through the medium of The Gary The Olivia Theater and Mother Dolores Hart for her special professional collaboration with us over the years. We look to bring the spirit of what we started here in CT to California – so, Clay & Wattles will continue. And as there is such a rich tradition of performance at The Gary The Olivia Theater, going back over 30 years now, we know audiences will once again be inspired by artistic excellence on that stage in the future. For now the Abbey is focusing on the completion of its New Horizons Renovation Project and we ask that all of our followers and theater lovers support them in this endeavor in whatever way they can.” To make a donation please go to http://abbeyofreginalaudis.org/donations.html.
“Again we thank all of you for your support and generosity of spirit over these past twelve years. God bless!”
